Everton Signs News Nigerian Star, Ademola Lookman for £7.5 million
The winger,
who made 49 appearances for Charlton after coming through the club’s youth set-up, has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract which will keep him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2021.
Charlton had been keen for
Lookman to remain at The Valley on
loan for the rest of the season, but
Everton boss Ronald Koeman wants
his new recruit to be involved with
his first team squad.
On his new signing, Ronald Koeman
said; On his part, Lookman is delighted to have made the move and believes
working under Koeman is exactly
what he needs to further his career
as he makes the step up to the
Premier League.
He said: ‘It feels great to be an Everton player. ‘As soon as I heard about Everton’s interest I knew this would be the right place for me.
‘Everton has a big history and I was
also attracted by the manager. The player also announced his switch via twitter. He tweeted;
“Delighted to have signed a long
term contract @Everton. It
wouldn’t be possible without
God. Special place in my heart to
all at CAFC❤”
